Caneel Bay, St. John
Depending on your yacht's overnight anchorage, you'll either awaken to the scenic beauty of Lovango Cay or cruise there after a delightful breakfast. With a history dating back to 1728, Lovango Cay paints a colorful past. By 1917, it was home to 49 residents and boasted one of the territory's earliest schools. Notably, it held the distinction of being the last legal brothel in the region and attracted a lively community of mariners, giving rise to its name, "Lov An Go." Today, the island is graced by the presence of the esteemed Zozos fine dining restaurant on one side and a collection of off-grid private residences on the other, all set against a backdrop of pristine seclusion.
Between Lovango Cay and Congo Cay, you'll discover some of the most stunning waters, perfect for incredible snorkeling experiences. Here, you'll find the imposing Carvel Rock, renowned as the largest and most thrilling cliff-jumping location, along with a vast cave waiting to be explored.
