Frequently Asked Questions

When is the best time to charter a yacht in the Mediterranean?+

The Mediterranean charter season runs from May to October, with peak season in July and August. For the best balance of weather, availability, and value, we recommend June or September. May and October offer lower rates with still-pleasant conditions.

How far in advance should I book a summer charter?+

For peak season (July–August), we recommend booking 6–12 months in advance to secure your preferred yacht. For shoulder season (May, June, September, October), 3–6 months is usually sufficient. Last-minute availability does exist but with limited choice.

Are charter rates different by season?+

Yes, most yachts have high-season and low-season rates. Peak season (July–August) rates are typically 20–40% higher than shoulder season. Some yachts offer special rates for extended charters or early bookings.

Can I charter during the off-season (November–April)?+

Limited options exist for winter charters in the western Mediterranean. Some yachts remain available for event-based charters (MIPIM in Cannes, for example). Many yachts relocate to the Caribbean for winter season.
