Li Galli Islands
An archipelago of three small islands between Positano and Capri. According to mythology, this is where the Sirens tried to lure Ulysses. Today, it offers some of the clearest waters for swimming and snorkeling, with a backdrop of a private island estate once owned by Rudolf Nureyev.
Fiordo di Furore
A dramatic, narrow gorge cutting into the cliffs, spanned by a high bridge. While you cannot anchor deep inside, stopping just outside provides a spectacular view of this hidden beach and old fishermen's houses. It's a breathtaking spot for photography.
Marina Piccola, Capri
Located on the southern side of Capri, this bay offers stunning views of the Faraglioni rocks. It's sheltered from the prevailing summer winds, making it an ideal spot to anchor for lunch, swim in the turquoise water, and watch the glamorous yachting scene.
Conca dei Marini
A picturesque bay near Amalfi, home to the famous Grotta dello Smeraldo (Emerald Grotto). The water here takes on a brilliant green hue. It's a quieter anchorage compared to Positano or Capri, perfect for a peaceful afternoon swim.

Weather & Sea Conditions
The Amalfi Coast generally enjoys calm seas in the morning, with a thermal breeze (the 'Maestrale') often picking up in the afternoon. Captains usually plan to cross open water (like to Capri) in the morning and cruise closer to the sheltered coast in the afternoon.
Dining Logistics
If you plan to dine ashore at popular spots like Lo Scoglio or La Fontelina, reservations must be made weeks or even months in advance during July and August. Your charter broker can assist with these VIP bookings.
Photography
The best light for photographing the coastal towns from the water is usually in the late afternoon when the sun illuminates the pastel buildings of Positano and Amalfi. A polarizing filter for your camera is highly recommended to capture the true color of the water.
What to Wear
Dress code is "yacht casual." Swimwear, light linen cover-ups, and sunglasses are essential. Remember that you will likely be asked to remove your shoes upon boarding to protect the teak decks. Bring a light layer for the return journey as the sea breeze can be cool.
