Why Charter a Yacht for the Monaco Grand Prix 2026?

The Monaco Grand Prix (June 4–7, 2026) is the most prestigious event on the Formula 1 calendar — and the only race where the circuit runs directly alongside a superyacht harbour. Port Hercule transforms into the world's most exclusive grandstand, with yachts moored stern-to along the quay offering unobstructed views of the Swimming Pool chicane, the Tabac corner, and the tunnel exit.

The Yacht Charter Advantage

  • Trackside position: Your yacht is moored directly on the circuit, with views of the cars passing at 260 km/h just metres away.
  • Private hospitality: Your own floating venue for 8–20+ guests, with private chef, bar, and crew.
  • Accommodation: Hotel rooms in Monaco during the Grand Prix start at €3,000 per night (if available). Your yacht serves as your hotel.
  • Social access: The yacht community during GP weekend is the most concentrated gathering of UHNW individuals in the world.
  • Flexibility: Watch qualifying from the yacht, attend the Amber Lounge party, return to your vessel at any hour.

Berth Allocation: How It Works

Port Hercule berths during the Grand Prix are allocated by the Société des Bains de Mer (SBM) and the Yacht Club de Monaco:

  • Application window: Opens January, closes March (for June race). Early application is essential.
  • Priority: Returning yachts from previous years receive priority. New applicants are waitlisted.
  • Minimum stay: Typically 4–5 nights (Wednesday arrival, Sunday departure).
  • Berth fees: €1,000–€5,000+ per metre per stay (a 30m yacht: approximately €30,000–€150,000 for the event).

Bluebnc Yachting maintains long-standing relationships with the Port Hercule authorities and can secure berths for charter clients that would otherwise be unavailable.

Which Yacht to Charter: Size and Position

  • 25–35m yachts: Typically positioned in the inner harbour with views of the Swimming Pool complex and Rascasse corner.
  • 35–50m superyachts: Prime positions along Quai Antoine 1er, with direct views of the Tabac corner and tunnel exit.
  • 50m+ megayachts: The outer breakwater (Digue) or the most prestigious quayside positions.

The Weekend Schedule

  • Thursday (June 4): Free Practice 1 & 2. Cars on circuit from 11:30. Evening: yacht parties begin.
  • Friday (June 5): Rest day (unique to Monaco). Circuit reopened to traffic. Ideal for exploring Monaco or cruising to Cap Ferrat.
  • Saturday (June 6): Free Practice 3 and Qualifying. Evening: Amber Lounge and Billionaire Club.
  • Sunday (June 7): Race Day. Grand Prix starts at 15:00. 78 laps. Post-race celebrations continue into the early hours.

Tender Logistics

During the Grand Prix, Port Hercule operates under strict security protocols:

  • Passerelle access: Stern-to moored yachts have direct quayside access. Security passes issued to all guests and crew.
  • Tender operations: If anchored outside the harbour, tender access is restricted during race sessions.
  • Helicopter transfers: Monaco Héliport offers 7-minute transfers from Nice Airport. Bluebnc arranges all transfers.

Cost Overview

  • 30m motor yacht (8 guests): €180,000–€280,000 for the event (4–5 nights)
  • 40m superyacht (10 guests): €350,000–€500,000 for the event
  • 50m+ megayacht (12+ guests): €600,000–€1,500,000+ for the event

Per person, a 30m yacht for 8 guests equates to approximately €35,000–€45,000 per person for a four-night, once-in-a-lifetime experience.
