Ses Illetes and Espalmador
At the northern tip of Formentera, Ses Illetes faces the islet of Espalmador across shallow water. It is the classic first stop on a day out of Ibiza, and the anchorage most shaped by seagrass protection.

Crewed yachts for day and multi-day charters between Ibiza and Formentera, from the marinas of Ibiza town to the shallow, clear water off Ses Illetes.
The channel between Ibiza and Formentera is one of the most protected seascapes in the Mediterranean. UNESCO lists Ibiza, Biodiversity and Culture as a World Heritage site for its Posidonia oceanica meadows — described as the best conserved in the Mediterranean — together with the Renaissance walls of Dalt Vila. The Ses Salines Natural Park runs from the south of Ibiza to the north of Formentera, including the marine strip between them.
The yachts below are listed for Ibiza and Formentera charters in our current collection. A yacht's listed base may be in Ibiza or in Mallorca, with the yacht repositioning for the charter; each card shows the listed base, and your advisor confirms positioning and the quote for your dates.

Cruising grounds
At the northern tip of Formentera, Ses Illetes faces the islet of Espalmador across shallow water. It is the classic first stop on a day out of Ibiza, and the anchorage most shaped by seagrass protection.
Beyond Ses Illetes, Formentera's coast includes Llevant, Migjorn, Cala Saona, Es Caló and Es Pujols. On a longer day or a multi-day charter, the captain chooses the side of the island that is sheltered from the wind.
Ibiza town's fortified upper town, Dalt Vila, was walled between 1554 and 1585 and forms part of the UNESCO World Heritage site. Arriving or leaving by sea gives the clearest view of the bastions.
Plan with confidence
Balearic Decree 25/2018 prohibits anchoring on Posidonia oceanica as a general rule. Regulated buoy fields in the Ses Salines area — including s'Alga on Espalmador and Platja de ses Salines — require yachts to use authorised buoys, so stops are planned around buoy availability and the wind.
Many yachts are listed at Marina Botafoch or Marina Ibiza in Ibiza town. A yacht listed in Mallorca can reposition for your charter; the cost and timing are confirmed in your quote.
Charter fee, fuel, food and drinks, marina fees and crew gratuity are handled differently by each yacht and charter type. Your advisor sets out the inclusions before you confirm.
Our Palma de Mallorca office is the closest Bluebnc base to Ibiza & Formentera. Share your dates, guest numbers and preferred embarkation port, and a charter adviser will check current yacht availability and send a written proposal.

Questions guests ask
Short, sourced answers. Rates, availability and inclusions are always confirmed in writing by your advisor.
Rates depend on the yacht, date, duration and route, so there is no single price. Where a yacht shows a from-rate, it is indicative and comes from the current charter collection; your advisor confirms the final quote and inclusions in writing.
Yes. Formentera lies just south of Ibiza, and a day charter from Ibiza commonly includes Ses Illetes or Espalmador. Some anchorages in the Ses Salines Natural Park are managed as regulated buoy fields, so your captain plans stops around buoy availability and the wind.
Posidonia oceanica meadows are protected; UNESCO cites Ibiza's as the best conserved in the Mediterranean. Balearic Decree 25/2018 prohibits anchoring on them as a general rule, so yachts anchor on sand or use authorised buoys.
Each yacht page shows its listed base. Many are listed in Ibiza town, at Marina Botafoch or Marina Ibiza, while some yachts are listed in Mallorca and reposition for the charter. Your advisor confirms the meeting point.
