Accessibility statement

Bluebnc Yachting wants everyone to be able to explore yacht charters, plan a trip and contact our charter team on this website, including people who use assistive technologies.

Our accessibility standard

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. The website is partially conformant: some parts do not yet fully meet the standard. The known exceptions are listed below.

What we have done

  • Keyboard access to navigation, photo galleries, dialogs and forms, with a visible focus indicator and a skip-to-content link.
  • Text alternatives for images and accessible names for buttons and icons.
  • Colour contrast for text and controls checked against WCAG AA.
  • Responsive layouts that work when zoomed and on mobile devices, with touch targets designed to be at least 24 by 24 pixels.
  • The website is available in ten languages, including right-to-left Arabic.
  • Animations and transitions are reduced when your device is set to reduce motion.
  • Pages are rendered on the server, so the main content is available without waiting for scripts.

How we test

We assess the website ourselves. Our checks include automated testing with axe-core on key pages at desktop and mobile sizes, and manual keyboard and visual reviews. We aim to repeat these checks when significant changes are released.

Known limitations

  • Payment pages, embedded forms, maps, videos, chat and cookie-consent tools are provided by third parties. We choose providers carefully but cannot fully control their accessibility.
  • Yacht descriptions and photos are supplied by yacht owners and partners. Some photos have only generic text alternatives, such as the yacht name.
  • Some older journal articles and documents may not fully meet the standard.
