The Bahamas · Atlantic
Crewed motor yachts and superyachts for charters through the Exumas, the Abacos and the out islands, starting from Nassau or South Florida.
The Exumas run south-east from Nassau as a chain of islands and cays — Great Exuma, Little Exuma and the Exuma Cays. Within them, the Exuma Cays Land and Sea Park, established in 1958, was the first marine reserve in The Bahamas and the wider Caribbean, and covers 112,640 acres of land and sea. To the north, the Abacos form a chain of about 120 miles that includes Marsh Harbour, Elbow Cay with Hope Town, Man-O-War, Great Guana and Green Turtle Cay.
The yachts below are listed for Bahamas charters in our current collection, most commonly from Nassau and some from Miami or Fort Lauderdale. Yachts arriving from outside The Bahamas clear in at a port of entry and hold a cruising permit; your advisor confirms positioning and the quote for your dates.

Cruising grounds
The park is a no-take zone with moorings for visiting yachts, park fees and wardens based at Warderick Wells, who can be reached on VHF channel 09. Fishing, shelling and conching are not allowed inside its boundaries.
Highbourne Cay, Compass Cay, Staniel Cay, Big Major Cay and Stocking Island off George Town are among the stops along the Exumas, linked by sheltered passages and shallow sand banks.
Further north, the Abacos stretch for about 120 miles, from Marsh Harbour to the settlements of Hope Town on Elbow Cay, Man-O-War, Great Guana and Green Turtle Cay — a separate cruising ground suited to its own itinerary.
Plan with confidence
The Atlantic hurricane season runs from 1 June to 30 November, with most activity between mid-August and mid-October. Charters in those months are planned with flexible routing and weather contingencies.
Foreign-flagged yachts arriving from Florida or elsewhere must clear in at a Bahamas port of entry and hold a cruising permit. This is arranged by the yacht's captain as part of the charter.
Inside the Exuma Cays Land and Sea Park, use the park's moorings, pay the park fees and leave marine life untouched. Your captain plans fishing for waters outside the park.
Questions guests ask
Short, sourced answers. Rates, availability and inclusions are always confirmed in writing by your advisor.
Rates depend on the yacht, date, duration and route, so there is no single price. Where a yacht shows a from-rate, it is indicative; your advisor confirms the final quote and inclusions in writing.
Charters run year-round. The Atlantic hurricane season officially runs from 1 June to 30 November, with most activity between mid-August and mid-October, so many guests choose winter and spring; summer charters are planned with flexible routing.
No. The park is a no-take zone: fishing, shelling and conching are not allowed inside its boundaries. Visiting yachts use the park's moorings, pay park fees and can contact the wardens at Warderick Wells on VHF channel 09.
Each yacht page shows its listed base. In our current collection, Nassau is the most common, and some yachts are listed in Miami or Fort Lauderdale. Yachts from Florida clear in at a Bahamas port of entry on arrival.
A week from Nassau usually concentrates on the Exumas — Highbourne, Compass, Staniel and Big Major Cays and the Land and Sea Park. The Abacos, further north, suit a separate itinerary.
