Day - 1

Water Island

Upon your arrival at St. Thomas International Airport (STT), a taxi will transport you to Yacht Haven Grande Marina to meet with your yacht and crew. Following a comprehensive safety briefing and yacht orientation, you'll set sail from the marina, embarking on a brief journey to the idyllic Water Island. This charming isle is nestled just off the southern coast of St. Thomas.

 

As you arrive at Water Island, make your way to the pristine Honeymoon Beach, graced with two bars at opposite ends. Dinghies, one of these bars, frequently hosts live music, especially on Sundays throughout the day, and features a quaint shack that presents a captivating movie night on Mondays, showcasing films on a projection screen nestled between two swaying palm trees. It's the perfect spot for a refreshing swim, and you can also explore the protected snorkeling area for an underwater adventure like no other.

Day - 2

Great St. James

Following a delightful breakfast on board, your journey continues to the captivating Buck Island, an uninhabited gem situated just south of St. Thomas. Renowned for its snorkeling paradise, Turtle Cove beckons you to explore its crystal-clear waters. Here, in the shallows, lies the remarkable Cartanza shipwreck, an underwater spectacle teeming with an array of marine life.

 

After relishing a sumptuous lunch on your yacht, your experienced crew will navigate your vessel to the enchanting Christmas Cove. Nestled behind the picturesque island of Great St. James, this sheltered cove boasts a delightful surprise - Pizza Pi, a floating pizzeria that promises a unique culinary experience on the water. Additionally, Christmas Cove is the ideal location for an array of exhilarating watersports, including tubing, wakeboarding, and stand-up paddleboarding, ensuring your day is filled with excitement and adventure.

Day - 3

Magens Bay

As the sun bathes the morning in a warm glow, set sail from your anchorage after a delightful breakfast towards the tranquil and secluded Hans Lollik Island. Nestled in the heart of the U.S. Virgin Islands, this pristine gem stands as one of the more remote stops on your journey, offering the allure of having the entire island to yourself. Its inviting shores are graced with a stunning beach for you to explore at your leisure, with ample shaded spots for those seeking a moment of pure relaxation.

 

Hans Lollik Island also beckons snorkeling enthusiasts, as you can immerse yourself in the vibrant underwater world straight from the back of your yacht. Weather permitting, you may choose to spend the entire day and night enveloped by the serenity of this island. Alternatively, your experienced Captain may chart a course to the renowned Magens Bay, or carry on to the enchanting Lovango Cay, ensuring your voyage is filled with unforgettable moments and the freedom to savor every aspect of this Caribbean paradise.

Day - 4

Caneel Bay, St. John

Depending on your yacht's overnight anchorage, you'll either awaken to the scenic beauty of Lovango Cay or cruise there after a delightful breakfast. With a history dating back to 1728, Lovango Cay paints a colorful past. By 1917, it was home to 49 residents and boasted one of the territory's earliest schools. Notably, it held the distinction of being the last legal brothel in the region and attracted a lively community of mariners, giving rise to its name, "Lov An Go." Today, the island is graced by the presence of the esteemed Zozos fine dining restaurant on one side and a collection of off-grid private residences on the other, all set against a backdrop of pristine seclusion.

 

Between Lovango Cay and Congo Cay, you'll discover some of the most stunning waters, perfect for incredible snorkeling experiences. Here, you'll find the imposing Carvel Rock, renowned as the largest and most thrilling cliff-jumping location, along with a vast cave waiting to be explored.

 

After a delectable lunch on board, your attentive crew will set sail for the enchanting Caneel Bay, located on St. John. This picturesque destination is encompassed by 7,200 acres of land and 5,600 acres of underwater wonder, forming the breathtaking Virgin Islands National Park. Once home to the exclusive Caneel Bay Resort, the only establishment ever permitted within the park's boundaries, the resort has regrettably remained closed since Hurricanes Irma and Maria. Nature has since reclaimed the land, and previously private beaches are now open to the public.

 

Caneel Bay offers a selection of idyllic beaches to choose from, with Cruz Bay just around the corner, where you'll find an array of beach bars and a local farmers market offering fresh fruits and handcrafted items such as wooden bowls and conch horns. This is a fantastic locale for a variety of watersport activities, beach exploration, or simply unwinding aboard your yacht. Day - 5

Watermelon Cay

Following a delightful breakfast on board, your attentive crew will guide you to the renowned Waterlemon Cay, a snorkeler's paradise and the number one destination for underwater exploration on St. John. Embark on a guided snorkeling adventure led by your experienced crew, and dive into the captivating world of marine life. Immerse yourself in the crystal-clear waters, where vibrant coral reefs and a multitude of colorful fish await your discovery.

 

After your snorkeling expedition, take a leisurely stroll along the picturesque shoreline to the historic Annaburg Plantation. This intriguing site not only provides a window into St. John's rich history but also offers breathtaking panoramic views of nearby Tortola and Jost Van Dyke. Explore the island's past as you tour the plantation, gaining insight into its heritage.

 

For the more adventurous, a light-duty uphill hike presents itself, leading you past the haunting ruins of one of North America's oldest churches to the Great House perched atop the Leinster Bay Trail. From this vantage point, your gaze extends across a mesmerizing expanse, encompassing Virgin Gorda, Norman Island, Cooper Island, Peter Island, Ginger Island, Salt Island, Tortola, Jost Van Dyke, the remainder of St. John, and even St. Thomas. Day - 6

Salt Pond Bay

In the morning, set sail along the western edge of St. John, skirting the border of the BVI territorial waters. As you journey through this picturesque route, the islands of Tortola and Norman will come into view, and the distant allure of Virgin Gorda beckons. This area is not only a feast for the eyes but also a prime spot for angling enthusiasts, offering excellent opportunities to catch fish and relish the thrill of the open sea.

 

Continuing your voyage, you'll soon find yourself exploring the secluded and less accessible beaches along St. John's South Shore. These hidden gems are a haven of tranquility and solitude, with their remote locations deep within the boundaries of the national park, ensuring minimal human presence. As day transitions into night, these pristine shores provide an ideal backdrop for stargazing, offering unobstructed views of the night sky.

 

One such tranquil haven you'll encounter is Salt Pond Bay, a hidden paradise sheltered from the bustle of the world. Here, you can unwind and recharge your senses. Day - 7

Reef Bay

Following a delightful breakfast at Salt Pond Bay, your yacht journey takes you to serene Bay, a tranquil spot where you can unwind on board, partake in some leisurely snorkeling in the bay's crystal-clear waters, and stroll along the picturesque white sandy beach. Enjoy a sumptuous lunch on board in this idyllic bay, soaking in the natural beauty that surrounds you. Afterward, set sail for Reef Bay, where your adventures continue.

 

Reef Bay boasts a captivating hiking trail that winds through lush tropical forests, revealing historical ruins and even ancient rock carvings left behind by the island's indigenous people. This presents a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the rich history and natural wonders of the U.S. Virgin Islands. Day - 8

St. Thomas

Have a relaxing breakfast followed by a leisurely sail back to Yacht Haven Grande, St. Thomas. Here you will depart your crewed yacht charter and head to the airport. Alternatively you may wish to book a hotel for an extra night in paradise. St Thomas has lots to do. Check out Emancipation Gardens, the 99 steps, and the historic Fort Christian. Take advantage of duty-free shopping at the vendor’s plaza or in any of the downtown boutiques.
